Delegates from across the UK joined facilitators Dr Bob MacKenzie, Commissioning Editor of AMED’s quarterly online journal e-Organisations and People and Convenor of the AMED Writers’ Group, and Dr Kayleigh Watson of Northumbria University and Chair of ISBE’s Early Career Researcher Forum, at Aston University on Saturday the 24th of March.
The initial workshop had to be postponed due to the bad weather earlier in the month, so we are very grateful to our delegates for joining us at the rescheduled workshop, and to Mark Hart and Gurdeep Chima for accommodating us at short notice at Aston.
Delegates had an opportunity to discuss their individual written work, and to reflect with the group on some of the challenges inherent in producing their writing. The day was based on the principles of action learning and critical friendship, a form of reciprocal, well-intentioned and sensitive challenge and support according to a clear set of ground rules.
A second, follow-up workshop will be held on the 12th of May. Details will be circulated shortly. For further information, please contact Bob in the first instance at firstname.lastname@example.org
