Following ISBE 2017: Rural Enterprise

Reflections from Rural Enterprise track chair, Professor Gerard McElwee

The Rural Enterprise track was very successful this year with 25 papers submitted.

The papers included conceptual, empirical and critical multi-disciplinary literature reviews charting the progress and interest in rural enterprise.

Contributors came from all over the UK and Ireland, France, Sweden Italy and Nigeria.

Particularly pleasing to see a number of PhD and early career researchers delivering their work for the first time, and many congratulations to Marcello De Rosa, Luca Bartoli and Maria Pia for their best paper in the track, Exploring territorial anchoring in rural entrepreneurship.
