This site provides an overview of the research programme and links to useful information about the project, our related research and resources on qualitative methods. We will be posting weekly blogs on our progress too!
Through our research we seek to address inequalities in entrepreneurship, exploring barriers to support for diverse entrepreneurs who self-identify as not conforming to binary identities and/or bodies. Research demonstrates that individuals who are perceived to differ form the stereotype of the heroic, young, energetic and masculine entrepreneur may experience more challenge in their entrepreneurial journey. We want to understand the barrier diverse entrepreneurs face, particularly in accessing support and develop recommendations to enhance entrepreneurial policy and support. We are delighted to be working with ISBE on this important research programme.
