Application to attend Writing Retreat

25th-27th June 2024 at Edgbaston Park Hotel and Conference Centre, Birmingham University

Following on from a highly successful event last year, the Research in Enterprise and Entrepreneurship Education and Family Business Special Interest Groups of ISBE and EEUK are again hosting a Writing Retreat chaired by Dr Emily Beaumont and Dr James Cunningham at the University of Birmingham (accommodation at the Edgbaston Park Hotel and Conference Centre)  from the 25-27th June 2024.  The retreat is designed for interest in enterprise and entrepreneurship education and/or family and community business to spend time developing written output.  This is an opportunity to enjoy dedicated writing time through a structured programme of activities, along with peer-to-peer discussions and exchange of ideas. This is not limited to the development of a research article, but can include a blog, podcast script, book chapter etc.  We encourage both academics and practitioners, as well as early career and established researchers to consider applying to attend.

The writing retreat includes breakfast (26th and 27th) and an evening meal (25th and 26th only) plus overnight accommodation on the night of the 25th and 26th June 2024.  It will be offered at a reduced rate (subsidised by ISBE) of £196 per person which must have been paid by the 29th March 2024.  There are 13 spaces on offer.  If you wish to be considered for one of the thirteen spaces available, please click here to complete the online application by 22nd March 2024.  We will endeavour to communicate the results of the applications by mid-March 2024.
