12.00-14.00 The GENE Launch Event closes the scoping process in the development of GENE as a collaborative space. Dr Nicola Patterson and Dinah Bennett OBE will highlight key findings to date and future plans. Prof Julia Rouse will provide a national context in an introduction to a series of State of the Art Reviews on women’s entrepreneurshipcommissioned by the Enterprise Research Centre at Warwick and Aston, funded by the ESRC and BEIS. A light lunch will be provided and an opportunity to network.
GENE brings together researchers, policy makers and practitioners to advance issues of gender and other categories of social difference in entrepreneurship in the North East of England. By creating a regional space for diverse voices to be heard and where knowledge can be harnessed, produced and transferred to enable social and structural change.
