Interesting opportunity for early career researchers

We were recently awarded a grant by the British Council  (WK 204154386) to hold a workshop on the topic “Advancing Maternity Protection in Malaysia: Meeting Social Welfare and Business Needs, and Contributing to Economic Development”. The workshop will take place in Malaysia (27-31 July 2016) and is being coordinated with The Centre for Research on Women and Gender (KANITA), Universiti Sains Malaysia.

Under this Programme, there will be an opportunity for up to 15 Early Career Researchers (defined as up to 10 years post PhD) each from the UK and Malaysia (up to 40 in total) to participate in the workshop. We are still inviting Early Career Researchers from the UK to apply to participate in this workshop – the new deadline is 27th May.

Those with a background in any of the following are particularly welcome to apply:

• gender, work and organization
• women and empowerment
• gender, law and policy-making
• maternal health
• economic development
• action research
