The Rural Enterprise track addresses the very latest research in the area, and considers the complexities of entrepreneurship and small business in a regional context. The track welcomes papers that address the following topics, and others that are relevant to the subject area:
• Conceptualising rural enterprise and the rural economy
• Developing rural enterprise policy and support mechanisms
• Women and rural enterprise
• Challenges facing sustainable rural enterprise development
• Rural enterprise in practice (i.e. in farming, veterinary business, agri and aquaculture sectors, etc)
• The rural enterprise landscape – national, international and border/cross border perspectives
