ISBE 2020 – an update

0

Given the increasing likelihood that social distancing regulations in Wales will continue to prevent a large gathering of 350 people from taking place in November, along with the current climate of academic and corporate budget freezes, the ISBE board has decided to postpone this year’s Cardiff conference until Tuesday the 9th and Wednesday the 10th of November 2021.

This has been a difficult decision when so much is still unknown but, based on feedback from our track chairs and wider network, we feel it is only right to postpone until a time when we can organise a physical conference that best serves our community.

These strange times have, however, given the Institute an opportunity to think more creatively and we are excited to be planning alternative, smaller online events for 2020 and 2021, along with a programme of webinars and online discussions for our membership. Details will be released in the coming weeks.

Regardless of the medium used, the Institute’s purpose remains to enable excellence in small business and entrepreneurship across our research, policy, practice and learning communities. We look forward to joining our members in negotiating the new circumstances in which we find ourselves.
