Blog – ISBE Entrepreneurship Studies Network workshop

The Entrepreneurship Studies Network (ESN) SIG is pleased to report the success of the recent workshop on Revitalizing Entrepreneurship Education in Amsterdam at Vrije Universiteit.

The workshop was held in honour of the recent publication of the Routledge volume on Revitalizing Entrepreneurship Education edited by Karin Berglund & Karen Verduijn.

The rise of critical entrepreneurship studies has recently led to the need to start wondering if and how such critical insights have entered the classrooms at higher educational institutions. The book is offering a collection of examples of how this can be done, through evoking, moving, challenging, provoking and dialoguing.

Professor Tara Fenwick opened the workshop in Amsterdam with an exciting and provoking keynote on how insights from critical pedagogy and the posthuman can lead to a fresh understanding of teaching as a sociomaterial entanglement. Various parallel workshops gave tantalizing insights into the book chapters.

We thank ISBE for the support!
