Following a successful bid to the Office for Students and Research England, the University of Huddersfield is delighted to announce the launch of ICE+. Innovation Creative Exchange Plus (ICE+) is a new interdisciplinary enterprise and employability initiative which will provide opportunities for students at all study levels, to engage in real-world challenges, posed by external businesses.
This two-year project (September 2020 until August 2022) will enable interdisciplinary student teams to be supported in the development of potentially innovative solutions and concepts, and then to pitch their proposals back to the external organisation.
Teams with the best proposals will be offered short internships with the external organisation, to further develop or implement those ideas, and to gain valuable industry-based experience. As a result of taking part in ICE+, new opportunities for student-led businesses or research projects may also emerge.
