You are invited to an exciting online research seminar to be held from 13:00 – 16:00 on 14th June 2021 via Microsoft Teams with the theme “Inclusion and women’s entrepreneurship”. To register, simply click: http://bit.ly/onlineresearchseminar
This research seminar is organised by The Centre for Enterprise and Innovation at De Montfort University with an excellent line of leading scholars from our Centre and the Leicester Law School sharing their research findings on current developments and debates on these topics:
- The state of research knowledge on women’s entrepreneurship in Africa.
- Marginalisation and empowerment of West African women entrepreneurs.
- Legitimation work of Syrian refugee women entrepreneurs.
- The role of law in facilitating women’s access to land in Africa.
The research seminar will feature agenda-setting research findings that draw on a variety of theoretical perspectives, contexts, and methodologies. It will benefit all levels of academics’ scholars interested in these areas, early and mid-level career researchers, and those seeking to establish networks for collaborative research. The research seminar also aims to develop staff research and teaching capacity in inclusive and female entrepreneurship. The event will provide opportunities for a better understanding of the embeddedness of women entrepreneurship in a variety of less-explored contexts in Africa and beyond.
Finally, it will preview the forthcoming book, The Palgrave Handbook of African Entrepreneurship, to which several of the presenters have contributed (publication in Summer 2021).
