The Small Business Charter together with the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS) have launched an initiative to help small and medium-sized businesses to survive and thrive beyond COVID-19.

It is important that small businesses are made aware of, and can take advantage of, this opportunity.

The Small Business Leadership Programme is free to participants and will be delivered by top business schools across England. The programme will support senior leaders to enhance their business’s resilience and recovery from the impact of COVID-19, and develop their potential for future growth and productivity.

About the programme

The Small Business Leadership Programme will equip senior leaders from SMEs with the confidence and leadership skills to plan for the future of their business, and ensure that their business is in a great position to recover from the impacts of COVID-19. The programme is open to decision makers from SMEs with 5-249 employees. The short course is being delivered online by a consortium of business schools accredited by the Small Business Charter and supported by BEIS.

Participants will develop strategic leadership skills and the confidence to make informed decisions to boost business performance. They will attend eight 90-minute webinars across ten weeks, covering topics including leadership, innovation, employee engagement, operational efficiency, marketing and finance.
