ISBE member UWTSD win Triple E European Entrepreneurial University of the Year
University of Wales Trinity Saint David (UWTSD) and their International Institute for Creative Entrepreneurial Development (IICED) are well known contributors to isbe. IICED’s approaches to learning from alumni and engaging in national and international policy work are part of the all round ‘360 approach’. Combined with top ranked HEBCIS data and celebrations of 200 years since the entrepreneurial founders set up the first college in Lampeter, the judges in Florence decided that this year’s winners demonstrated that they deserved full recognition. The European Triple E Awards are presented by the Accreditation Council for Entrepreneurial and Engaged Universities, who are based in Amsterdam.
Kath Penaluna, Director of IICED said, ‘we are delighted to win this award, as a 200 year-old entrepreneurially-led institution, UWTSD not only evidenced 40 years of engagement, but also engagement at the top levels of policy making, both in the UK and Internationally.” She went on to say, our UWTSD colleague Professor David Kirby also won a lifetime award at the ceremony, and we are all supporting his vision for more harmony with sustainability in entrepreneurial education.”
