Virtually ISBE: Entrepreneurship in Minority Groups

Wednesday, November the 4th, 2020
2pm – 5pm GMT

The ISBE Entrepreneurship in Minority Groups SIG and the conference track team are pleased to announce a call for abstracts for a special session to be held during the Virtually ISBE 2020 event in November.

The world today is different from the one we expected. Institutions, priorities and challenges are changing rapidly. This virtual session offers researchers an opportunity to present, share and learn from new research related to Entrepreneurship in Minority Groups.  It will explore how entrepreneurship and innovation relate to economic development, and academic research on enterprise and small business connects with practice and policy. How can knowledge exchange ensure that research reflects the new priorities of entrepreneurs, innovators and organisational leaders, and address the complexities and challenges of designing appropriate and effective policy. These challenges will help us to understand better the wider context and purpose of entrepreneurship, in relation to the social and public challenges that we face, and in appreciating the role of informal, social and for-profit enterprises.

Join us at Virtually ISBE 2020!

Abstracts for this session can be submitted here until Friday, August the 28th 2020.

The organisers are looking forward to welcoming participants to submit extended abstracts, papers and presentations that reflect on how academic, professional and policy stakeholders can exchange ideas and knowledge, and draw on best practice, as we seek to address grand challenges around social and public value playing out at local, national and international levels.

All presenters at the session must have registered for Virtually ISBE 2020, which includes membership of the Institute. Delegates will have access to all morning keynote sessions and any of the afternoon sessions organised by our SIGs. Delegate fees are £150 full rate and £130 student rate.
