Dinah Bennett

Dinah Bennett is the founder director of International Consultants for Entrepreneurship and Enterprise www.consult-ice.com and Global Lead for Enterprise Development for Women’s Economic Imperative www.wieforward.org  where she works  policy and practice.

She spent twenty years at Durham University Business School, initially responsible for an innovative research programme into Successful SME development, the results of which disseminated via books, BBC TV Series and training programmes internationally and led  MBA Electives on Small Business Management. Latterly Dinah wasDirector of the Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning where she had a remit of supporting the development of entrepreneurial practice internationally.

Dinah designs and delivers business and entrepreneurial capacity building programmes internationally often working in partnership with agencies such as the UN, International Labour organization and British Council. Dinah has experience of many branches of financial services and organisations offering financial solutions to support SME’s effectively.

Currently Dinah is Co-chair of a Task Force of  the Think20 (T20) the research and policy network to the G20 under the Saudi Presidency  2020 and as  Editorial Board member, International Journal of Gender and Entrepreneurship.  In 2005 she was awarded an individual Queen’s Award for Enterprise Promotion and in 2011 an OBE in recognition of her support for women’s entrepreneurship. In Dec 2016 Dinah was made an Honorary Fellow of the UK Institute of Enterprise and Entrepreneurs (IOEE)
